I was appointed lead rapporteur on the Regulation on the Protection of the Union against Wholesale Energy Market Manipulation (REMIT) and EPP negotiator on the European Electricity Market Reform (EMD). I have been advocating for more incentives on investment, research and innovation. I also believe that the EU should build the lacking electricity interconnections. This is the only way we can move move towards a true European Energy Market.
