Maria da Graça Carvalho participated as moderator in the Mobile Meeting Series event entitled Energy efficiency and green power: How the mobile industry is setting the standard for industry progress on clean and efficient energy.
This took place today at the GSMA Europe offices in Brussels and included an opening introduction, followed by an informal, lively debate amongst the roundtable of high-level participants from the European institutions and various industry representatives.
The event took place in the context of the GSMA Mobile Meetings Series which provide a setting to explore, from a broader stakeholder perspective, issues that are central to the development of the mobile industry. The Series is designed to offer real dialogue between high-level stakeholders and experts on a range of topics and an opportunity for all present to learn from each other in an informal environment.
The session Energy efficiency and green power looked to highlight the contribution of the mobile industry towards greener energy policy, in particular by providing effective methods for extending coverage, reducing cost and minimising the environmental impact of mobile networks.
