The cooperation between national regulators is very important to ensure the interconnections work properly especially in a cross-border dimension. The agency was created with the input of the Parliament and it serves its purposes as the efficiency of the energy flow is higher than ever, notwithstanding the bottlenecks that still persist in the complex European network. ACER introduced interesting schemes entailing the sharing of staff resources with other agencies and this a very good practice for sharing experiences and the transfer of knowledge. It is a pity to see a weak gender balance, overall. A shift in this regard is needed, but I supported the resolution.
