Press PSD MEPs contest “disappearance” of priority projects on natural gas

Six Portuguese MEPs questioned the Commission regarding the “disappearance” of priority natural gas projects, O Jornal Económico Online reports. At stake is the third natural gas interconnection between Portugal-Spain-France via Pyrenees. The MEPs want clarification regarding the reason for the projects to be excluded from the Common Interest Projects’ list. The MEPs also want to know if the Portuguese government was notified of the alteration and if it took the proper action before the Commission. MEP Graça Carvalho considers that it is very important “for the Commission and Portuguese government to clarify what happened.”
