Maria da Graça Carvalho participated at the WWF - World Wide Fund for Nature - lunch debate on EU Budget Priorities for members of Budgets Committee. Maria da Graça Carvalho made some comments about Portugal's requests for revisions in the structural fund procedures to avoid wasting available EU funds. Ms Carvalho also declared that the top priority for EU Member States was to safeguard their total funds coming from the EU budget.
During the lunch debate, Ms Carvalho also underlined the need of flexibility between instruments, and for simplification.
